It’s easy to use, secure and accepted just about anywhere you spend money.

This card does double duty. It’s an ATM card that lets you get cash at any ATM. It also lets you make purchases at the millions of merchants who accept Visa® worldwide. By using a debit card, you avoid having to carry cash or use a credit card and pay interest. Benefits include:

  • No annual fee
  • Free overdraft protection available from your savings and/or line of credit loan
  • Free transactions at People First ATMs
  • 12 free non-People First ATM transactions per month¹ (withdrawals, deposits and transfers)
  • $2,000 purchase limit and a $500 withdrawal limit at ATMs per business day
  • A total of 20 transactions permitted per business day between purchases and withdrawals

Lost or Stolen Cards

If your card is lost or stolen, or you notice unauthorized transactions contact us immediately at 800.754.4128.

We also offer card controls with Card Suite Lite, allowing you to turn off your debit card in real-time.

How Do I Activate My Debit Card?

Activating your People First Debit Card is easy. Have your card ready and simply call our activation line at 844-316-1960. Be sure to call from your primary phone number!

Does People First Offer Instant Issue Debit Cards?

At People First, we offer instant issue debit cards, meaning that we can provide a new or replacement debit card that can be activated and used immediately. Visit a branch today to get your new card, click here to make an appointment under Card Services.

DEBIT CARD FAQs

To get a Visa® Debit card, am I required to have a checking account?

No. You must have the funds available in a People First savings/checking account to cover purchases or withdrawals.

What if I have a purchase that exceeds my daily limit?

Current Daily Limits Are: $2,000 purchase limit and a $500 withdrawal limit at ATMs per business day. Depending on the dollar amount, we will want a request to increase your limit. Please call or text our Member Service Center for further information.

How can I change my PIN?

You may change your PIN by calling 844.316.1960 from your primary phone number.

How do I set up a travel notice?

You can easily set up a travel notice through Online Banking or the People First App to ensure uninterrupted use of your debit or credit card while you’re away.

Online Banking: After logging in, navigate to Card Services and select Travel Notice. Fill out the required information, and you’re all set!

People First App: From the main screen, tap More in the bottom right corner, then select Travel Notice. Complete the form, providing the last four digits of your debit or credit card (or both) as prompted.

What should I do if my Debit Card Declines?

First, check your account balance to ensure you have sufficient funds. Verify your card details are entered correctly, especially for online purchases. Common causes include insufficient funds, daily limits, fraud protection, or expired cards. If the issue continues, contact us at 610.797.7440. for assistance.

My Debit Card is Expiring what should I do?

Your new debit card will be mailed automatically to your address on file in a white envelope. Your current card remains valid through the end of the expiration month. If you haven’t received your replacement card or need to update your address, contact us at 610.797.7440.
