Here’s How it Works:
- Share your Referral Code: Give your friend your unique referral code: Your unique code is simply the First 4 letters of your Last Name + the Last 4 digits of your Member Number.
- They Join: They open a Membership Savings account and one of our two checking options:
- Free Checking: Simple, easy, and completely free.
- Hometown Heroes Checking: Our exclusive account for first responders, military, and teachers.
- They Fund: Deposit at least $25 into your new Checking Account to get started.
- You Both Get $25: Once the new member meets all requirements, a $25 bonus will be deposited into the Primary Savings Account of both the referring and new member within 60 days.
Disclosures:
People First Federal Credit Union Refer a Friend Disclosure: To qualify for the $25 referral reward, both the Referrer and the Referee must be over the age of 18, and the Referrer must be in good standing. The Referee must not have been a People First Member within the last 365 days. The referred person must open a membership that includes a Savings account with a $5 minimum balance, a Checking account with a $20 minimum deposit, and a Debit Card at the time of opening. Bonuses will be deposited into the Checking accounts for both the Referrer and the Referee within 30 days of all criteria being met. Each member is limited to 10 referral bonuses per calendar year. All accounts are subject to our normal approval process, and in the event that more than one member refers the same individual, the bonus will be awarded to the first member making the referral. All bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. People First reserves the right to disqualify any referrals that we believe were not made in good faith and also reserves the right to terminate the program at any time, revise the program terms, or refuse bonuses at our discretion without notice.
