Select Employer Group FAQs
A Select Employer Group is a business partner of People First FCU that secures credit union membership eligibility for its employees.
Once People First has received the completed partner application, your request will be sent to the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) for approval. Upon receiving a positive confirmation from the NCUA, we will notify you that individuals in your group are immediately eligible to become members of People First.
People First’s SEG partners range in size from small businesses to large organizations.
People First is federally chartered by the NCUA to serve groups with a common bond such as businesses, associations, and schools. The NCUA reviews all Select Employer Group requests to ensure the applying organization meets the criteria defined in the credit union’s charter.
Disclosures:
1 Offer valid for new members only. New member is considered someone who has not had a People First Federal Credit Union account or those whose accounts have been closed in good standing within 12 months. Offer limited to one $250 cash bonus per individual taxpayer identification number; requires qualifying direct deposit(s) totaling $500 or more within 60 days of account opening. A qualifying direct deposit is a recurring direct deposit of a paycheck, pension, or other regular monthly income (including Social Security) electronically deposited into account per statement cycle. Personal transfers or deposits made at a branch, online, or ATM do not qualify. Cash Bonus Offer also requires enrollment in eStatements and 15 debit card transactions within 60 days of account opening. People First Federal Credit Union will fulfill the bonus within 120 days of qualification. The $250 bonus will be deposited into members savings account. Bonuses are based on one time-restricted curriculum. If stated requirements are not met within the set guidelines above, no bonus will be paid to the member. Offer may be withdrawn or changed at any time.
2 Additional $100 cash bonus for opening of a People First Federal Credit Union credit card. Offer valid to new members who open a new credit card; Visa Platinum or Visa Platinum Rewards only. Secure Card does not qualify for the bonus. Credit Card application must be made within 60 days of account opening, and activated with at least one (1) transaction within 90 days. People First will fulfill the bonus within 120 days of qualification. The $100 cash bonus will be deposited into the member’s savings account. Bonuses are based on one time-restricted curriculum. If stated requirements are not met within the set guidelines above, no bonus will be paid to the member. Offer may be withdrawn or changed at any time.
3 Additional $150 cash bonus for opening a People First Federal Credit Union Auto or Personal Loan. The loan amount must be $7,500 or greater for the bonus to qualify. Offer applies to new loans opened and disbursed within 90 days of account opening. Auto loans obtained through dealer partners are excluded. People First will fulfill the bonus within 120 days of account opening. The $150 cash bonus will be deposited into the member’s savings account. Bonuses are based on one time-restricted ciriculum. If stated requirements are not met within set guidelines above, no bonus will be paid to member. Offer may be withdrawn or changed at any time.
