Program Details and Rewards*

Students in grades 1-12 can turn their academic success into cold, hard cash! Redeem your child’s good grades for dollars that are deposited directly into their savings account.

The Rewards:

  • Students earn $5 for each grade of B or higher (or equivalent) in core academic subjects.
  • The maximum reward is up to $20 per marking period (September–June).

How it Works:

  • Check the Grades: Once the marking period is complete, confirm your student has earned a B or higher (or equivalent) in a qualifying subject.
  • Visit a Branch: Bring the official semester-end report card to any full-service People First branch.
  • Get Paid: Rewards are deposited directly into the child’s savings account!

Does my child need to have a Growing Savers or Smart Savers account to qualify for the Good Grades Program?

Yes, your child must have an active Growing Savers or Smart Savers account to be eligible.

How do we submit my child’s report card?

Drop off a copy of the official report card to a teller at any full-service People First branch.

Are home-schooled students eligible?

Yes. Home-schooled students may submit a transcript verified by a parent/guardian, provided it meets all other required criteria.

Disclosures

*To be eligible for the Good Grades Program, the student must be a People First Federal Credit Union member and currently enrolled in grades 1 through 12.

Students will receive $5 for each grade of B or higher (or equivalent) earned in core academic subjects, up to a maximum reward of $20 per semester/marking period (September through June). The equivalent grade for younger students may include marks such as E, S, or O. Core academic subjects include English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and similar subjects. Electives such as Music, Gym, and Art do not qualify. Deposits will be made into the student’s Growing Saver or Smart Saver Youth Savings Account.

Rewards are issued one time per grading period. To qualify, students must present an official report card or verified homeschool transcript within 30 days of the issue date at any full-service People First branch. Report cards must include the student’s name, school name, and date. Handwritten or self-reported grades will not be accepted.

The student must have an active youth savings account at People First to participate. The account must be in good standing. Program subject to change or end at any time without notice.
